Ok if Anyone is a hunter on here this is how retarded people are around here (Illinois) I rushed home b/c it is opening day of shotgun season in Illinois. Wife had me help her with the kids get them dressed and whatnot so I was mad b/c it took f-in forever.


So I finally got ready all suited up and ready to walk to my hunting spot when I hear a loud shot from my neighbor house (thats where I'm hunting) I'm like wtf is my other neighbor pouching deer in the field. (bty the guys field I'm hunting is in Texas for the winter ONLY me and my dad have permission from him to hunt there)
So my dad gets in his truck and fly's over there to see wtf is going on. Some dumb ass is target practicing!!! He knows the landowner though the guys son somehow don't remember. BUT he is target practicing the first f-in day of deer season. Its illegal as hell to target practice in deer season.


Ruined my hunting for the rest of the day. I have 6 other acres of my property to hunt but that is right behind where he is shooting. WTF MAN!!! AHHH I'm sooooo pissed right now I wish I could blow that mother fers head off. And as if he didn't see my freaking deer blind up its in the middle of the dam field with no tall grass around at all. What would of happened if I was in my bottoms hunting and the bullet killed me. Stupid ass people I tell you. No respect for others. Just do what they want and don't give a flying @#$@ about other people.
Sorry just had to rant a little bit so I didn't go postal.
 


Thats why I just try to hit'em with my car.

But that coulda been a really bad situation...... next time just pull a dick cheney.

this is why i don't hunt. surely i am not a vegetarian, but i feel i would have to utilize every part of the animals body like native americans did. they would make bones into weapons/tools/utensils. bladders into bags, and so on.

deer jerky is some good **** though.

Hell of alot better than letting the populations grow a ton, have more deer/ car accidents, allow the animals to become overpopulated and have disease spread through the herd and have them die off from sickness and lack of food.

Very true. Plus alot of people aren't aware of the fact that some states actually hire groups to come in and kill deer (even out of season) to help thin the population out.

On top of the fact that they destroy millions of dollars in crops per year.
 
Only reason I don't support hunting deer when its for "population control" is because... well how can humans decided something is overpopulated when we are x10000000000000 (guess-timate) overpopulated. Just how I feel :/

Sucks that the guy ruined your day. Hopefully you'll have a better one next time you go out.

But ya that's messed up. I know my dad would be flippin if some dude was target practicing when he was trying to hunt.
 


Yeh I got to go out satuday but I didnt see a thing. Deer is good meat tho I suport hunting Im a avid hunter and the only thing from the deer I dont use is the internals and the bones other then that all the meat and hides and stuff I use.

If I lived in the 1800's I would see the point of useing everything from the deer but we don't Its 500 times cheaper to go buy a watter sack at the store insted of haveing one tanned. and for the bones makeing them into stuff. Steel is a hell of alot harder then bone so I think ill go with steel.

The world is overpopulated. why do you think china has a limit 1 kid per family b/c they know they are over-populated. The U.S. has 81.9 people per square mile. Thats not a hole lot if you think that china has more then 518 people per sq mile. India is 954 people per square mile. So I think the rest of the world is way over populated but the U.S. not so much buy them standerds.
 
I hunt a piss ton, like 3-4 deer a year myself and we usally get upwards of 15 deer a year at my dads place.

And we actually use every part of the deer. We eat the meat, the hides get donated to hides for habitat, the bones go to the dogs and the gut piles feed yotes and predatory birds.

Deer hunting is actually a very good management tool. But arguing this is actually a impossible thing, I've gotten into it with some peta people a couple years ago. and it basically ended in a screaming match. Most people feel one way or the other and nobody's willing to give at all.

No joke. Usually around my grandpas place you will have to walk in about 10 rows on a corn field to find a stalk with an ear with kernals on it. The deer will eat the kernals off the ear but leave the ear on the stalk. Plus, once it gets cold the deer will come in and eat out of their grain bins, hay bales, corn pile, silage pile and ruin alot of their trees. They have two big groves of trees and most of the trees are ruined from the deer rubbing.

This year I have 2 rifle tags, 2 archery tags and I can get like 6 more archery tags. My brother in law has like 6 or 8 tags as well. Most of our hunting is management hunting. Take out doe and let the bucks be.
