Stupid Boss's

its bad when a person has to put two weeks in to get any recognition for work done. ive seen it with several coworkers that have put two weeks in and have been offered a good raise to stay, its just poor management skills some of these boss's posses

In the end it is better to have a job that you actually like than a job that you hate but pays more. but if you like your job and get paid good win win for you
I've had that happen twice at my current job, first time I told my boss I was applying and had an interview for another job and she gave me a 50 cent per hour raise, second time I had been working at another job for 3 months but was still in the system at my old job and my boss again offered me 50 cent more an hour than what I was working at my new job. Maybe I should try it again lol.

And blue this thread has been here since November if the title bothers you so much change it lol.

Found out some interesting information today. Apparently they think my job is cakework because they don't even intend on hiring someone to replace me. The owner still wants to talk to me, but I don't think he is going to like what I have to say.

Today was fun.

I went in an hour early because I knew there was a certain amount of stuff I had to get done by a certain time and it wasn't going to happen if I went in at regular time. I was already told that I could "do what it took" to get the orders out the door.

I'm flying right along getting the stuff done when the one guy tells me there is a truck there. I walk out to find out both trucks are there. I was ready for the one, but the other wasn't scheduled until 10 and it was the one I came in early for. I went and got a guy to take over what I was doing so I could get the first truck out of there and the other work wouldn't fall off. Lo and behold the supervisor comes to me and says, "I see you have two trucks out there. Do you need any help to get the loaded and out of here."

LOL I have NEVER been offered help before. I declined and told him I had it under control. Ten minutes later one of the guys from the other side of the building comes over anyway and says, "Dan said you guys need help." I was like whatever and put him on something. I could tell he was just sucking up and trying to prove he was serious about getting me help, even though I know it is all a farce.

Right before lunch I got pulled into the supervisor's office with him and the owner. They made all kinds of promises and tried to feed me lines about how the company is growing (it isn't) and how there are a lot of opportunities (there are not) and blah blah blah. I let them talk for a little and then interrupted them and informed them that I was still planning on moving on from the company.

The looks on their faces were priceless. They thought it was "in the bag" so to speak that if they made me these promises and promised me more money that I was going to stay. I looked over at the supervisor as I was walking out of the office and see him doing this.

Then at the end of the day the supervisor handed me a piece of paper with an offer on it. Again it had most of the same BS on it except this one had a number of $4 an hour pay increase. I was asked to "consider it overnight."

My mind is still made up. I am still moving on.

The hilarity ensues.

Yesterday they thought they were going to take MY phone.

They said, "We provided you with that phone."
I said, "You paid for me to upgrade MY phone line that I have had for 12 years. I paid the monthly bill." (The only reason they paid for the upgrade is so they could get ahold of me better)
They said, "Well there is proprietary information on your phone like vendor contacts, customer contacts, email, etc"
I said, "The only thing on my phone is email and we can delete that account right now."
They said, "You didn't use your phone to call vendors or customers?"
I said. "I used the phone at my desk since this is MY personal phone. The only non personal people I talked on it was was people within the company."
They said, "Oh, well, do you have a problem with Justin (IT) going through it real quick and deleting any company pertinent information?"
I said, "Let's do it now."

I finish the day out yesterday and have a few last loose ends to tie up today to close out my job, I drive to work today. I hand my keycard to the supervisor so I don't forget at the end of the day, and he tells me I can go home that we are done. I tried to tell him that I was revising the production schedule and PO's so production wouldn't be screwed up, and he told me not to worry about it. THEY ARE SCREWED.

To top it off I already got a text from the maintenance guy saying someone is about to lose their mind and he has his popcorn ready. Then I got a call from the production team leader (whom I got to speak with on my way out the door for a minute) and he had questions regarding the shipping pallets because they didn't give me a chance to go over stuff with him.

LOL

No, I don't mind helping out Russ. He's a good guy and getting a heaping pile of sh!t dumped in his lap. I hope for his sake he is gone within the next few weeks and can leave that pile of sh!t company behind.

Lmao wow. Glad you stuck to your guns and left.. The money would of been tempting but of course the bs that comes along with it isn't.

And even more hilarity ensues.

I figured it was time to get the mower out and go over it so I can do the first mow of the season. I brought my phone out with so I could plug my headphones in and listen to music while I mowed. Well, my phone rings so I shut the mower down to answer and it is the one guy Adam from work.

He was setting himself up to do what he has been doing the last few days in the same area he has been doing it (which is right by my desk on the shop floor) mainly so he could listen to music on the computer while he worked. The supervisor comes over and tells him that he needs to move over to the other side of the building and do that stuff. They only wanted him over there so they could "watch" him.

Then he proceeds to tell me that he talked to Russ (the guy that called me earlier about pallets) after Russ was done talking to the supervisor and the supervisor told him that they sent me home because I was "poisoning the company." Pretty sad that I am not even gone a few hours and they are already starting the sh!t talking. Hilarious that they use that excuse only because I told the truth about what a sh!thole that place is and everyone already knew it anyway.

I have two things to say good riddance to that hell hole, and good luck to the friends that I left behind that they can get out of there soon.

You should have ****ed it up more from the inside, I told you! Now your "fired, stealing company money, never did your job" and whatever else they can tell the others still there.

untell the boss chews on there ears how bad you were and you f'ed everything up etc.. just dont worry about it your gone and your life will be better trust me

I've done forgotten about it, but trust me, the guys know exactly what kind of person I am. I am a straight shooter and tell it like it is. If they asked me why we weren't getting material (which happened way too much) I told them. If the boss had a meeting or a "talk" with me, I told them what was said if asked. They all know how the company is, and all know why I left. They all congratulated me when I told them I was leaving.

I now have a better future to look forward to.

Two quick little updates. Got a call from Russ again today. He just wanted to ask me how the first day went at my new job and had one quick question for me regarding how to stack this one shipment. Again, I have no issues helping him, because it is not his fault things went down like they did. Anyway, I asked him about the whole "poisoning the company" statement, since he was the one it was told to initially. He said the reason that was said was because I was "bragging about my new job."

LOL If someone asked me about my new job I told them.

Anyway, today was the first day at the new job. So far, so good. I helped make some 3" unions and cut some hoses this morning and for a little bit after lunch. Then I got sent out on a delivery and with traffic and everything I got back around 6:00. Other than dealing with morons in traffic it was a stress free day.

Piss the other company off more and get Russ a job with you? :)

Funny you say that. He asked me for an application and I have it in my car. He is going to stop by my place some time this week to get the app and BS.

They aren't doing any addition hiring right now, but if things keep taking off the way I am being told they are then I wouldn't doubt if they would be making another hire in a month or so.
