Hey all. I stumbled on over from some other Grand Prix forums, and thought that I would say "Hi!"

I live near Des Moines, Iowa so I will be joining the Iowa/midwest groups soon as well.

Lets see, I got my 2000 Grand Prix GTP just 10 days ago with a whole 36,500 miles. I've since put 1000 miles on it.

It is all stock except for new rear speakers (sorting out new fronts yet, and I have my 3 month old sub and sub amp to put in). I don't plan on modding the heck out of the car, but have just started looking at CAI and a few other mods. Just need to figure out what is what and which mods won't create a vehicle that I spend more time tweaking and tuning than driving.

Hey now, I am absolutely NOT an "East Sider"... :th_skull: If you lived around here you'd know what I mean...

I am east of the East Siders (East Siders are people that live in Des Moines on the east side....) There is a distinct difference. :D

As for me, I've spent many days in Chicago and the surrounding areas, Rockford, and have been to Janesville a couple of times. More through it than "to it" I guess. I grew up in the most north western tip of Illinois, right by the Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin border. I remember the challenge as a kid to get from Iowa, through Wisconsin, and to Illinois (keeping in mind that there is the Mississippi river in there and limited access from Iowa to the other two), in less than 2 minutes. You can't do it legally, that is for sure...

Was just up in your neck of the woods a few months back. Cold as hell up there when it was sunny and warm here. I like it here where I'm at myself. LOL
