Struts

hello,

So i need new struts, i was looking at KYB AGX adjustable struts but i dont see a listing for 04+ Grand Prix's unless you folks know where to buy em.

If i were to go with a KYB GR-2/EXCEL-G Struts what springs should i go with? mounts and new boots are coming from KYB as well, should i just purchase ACdelco coil springs?

I am also going from 17" wheels to 18" wheels and a wider tire will there be a difference in wheel space? Is there anything else other then a four wheel alignment that ill need to consider when replacing struts front and rear?

I have the Special Edition Body Kit, I have to be careful about ground clearance as is, i pull in at angles a lot. I really dont need lowering springs, just quality coils springs.

looks like this ;)

If you don't want to lower, just reuse your springs, your springs will be fine. Also about the only other thing you need to replace besides struts are the front top mounts for the bearings, otherwise you can reuse everything else, the boot and the rear top mounts. I would suggest getting the Anti-pogo spacers

What wheels are you looking at? We need specs width of wheel and offset. At 245/45/18s you should be fine as long as the wheel offset is 35mm or more

Offset is 40mm I believe and 18x8 rim.

If my clearance is any lower ill hit all the time, my town has some of the worst roads in canada

40mm is perfect.

Bilsteins and stock springs is what I suggest but you can do KYBs if you want (Bilsteins outlast KYBs by far), like I said only thing you need to replace are the struts and front top mounts (because of the thrust bearings). If you really wanted to replace the springs, you could source GXP springs, they were only just the slightest bit lower.

By the way NYS roads are no better. ;)
