• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Strut removal and installation

k guys i put new KYB Strut-Plus assemblies on the GP last night, new wires, and a front valve cover gasket :)
It made a WORLD of difference with the ride quality (can't wait to do the back ones)

The only problem I have is that the steering wheel is cocked way to the left (instead of the right where it was lol) and it tends to drift both left and right kinda like I have to work to keep it in a straight line. Also on uneven road it still tends to act up and steer all over the place.

I'm assuming all of that is due to needing an alignment... hopefully that fixes it?

For the most part I am really impressed. The handling is improved despite the straight line issue; It no longer feels floppy all the time. :)

i did all four struts and had to do an alignment but before u do defintely check your tie rods and wheel bearings make sure there in good shape as well

I finally got it all done but have a problem. Driver side front strut makes "popping" noise intermittantly. Did I screw up when I compressed the spring and installed the strut mount? I thought maybe something just loosened up, but rechecked all the bolts and they are tight. But the top cap of the strut assembly (in the engine compartment) actually can spin, so I know there is no pressure on it. Can anyone tell me where I went wrong?
