Well, i thought it was. Sounded just like a strut mount rattle. Turns out it was the hood latch was out of adjustment and causing the hood to rattle. This may be some mis diagnosed suspension rattles out there. I have noticed a lot of people have replaced entire strut assymblies, ball joints, and tie rod ends, and still had the rattle. Hope this may help.
 


Yeah! for me too. By chance i was looking to the left and the sun was hitting the hood just enough to catch my eye. could tell it was moving.
