stripped star bolt on trans cover

well **** all this work to come to this. the 3/4 star bolts on the bottom of my trans cover are stripped any ideas on how to get them out. I am assuming that they are really stuck in there too cause good one took a bit of fighting to get out. Any Ideas?
 


Step 1: Put socket in and whack with hammer before trying to loosen them at all. When step 1 fails... see step 2
Step 2: Use a small chisel and hammer straight on to make an indent in outter edge of bolt. Then put chisel into groove and tap in a counterclockwise direction. This usually frees them up, once out ..curse the ahole that decided they needed to be there for zero reason.

*UPDATE* Thank you bill a few good whacks with a hammer hooked up the impact wrench and zip zip zip all three where out.

um no.....i dont, do you have to remove the valve body to remove it? I really dont want to **** that up

I must be blind I've been staring at that pic for like 10minutes.

Leave the VB attached to the CP. Here's a better pic. Clip is pulled from the top. I showed you a bottom pic.


See where the sensor connector goes.. right above that in the pic is a different color piece of metal. That pops up and out.. then the sensor comes out.
