Strange rattle/knock

My car started running 5-10° hotter in the summer. I put a 180° in and it's running the same or 5° less. The middle mark is 200, which is just fine. Even the next mark is 210°, which is getting warm but still perfectly safe. It shouldn't get much past 210° because the fans will kick on.
 


Update everyone. Took it to my buddies place today to get a professional opinion on what could be the issue on this weird thump. He took it for a drive and then started to notice it and questioned what is that ? so we pulled it back into his shop and I sat in the car and held my foot on the brake with the car in drive and he checked everything and anything and couldn't hear anything. Can only be heard inside of the car it seems. My first question. Trans mount done ? loose bolt ? heat shield and SC coupler ? and he said no doesn't seem to be any of the above because if the SC coupler was bad we would hear it. And if the flex plate was done we would hear that as well especially when he was underneath the car. Any idea's ? And like I said this thumping only happens when In drive sitting at lights while the car is in Drive. Anything else it doesn't seem to make that noise.
 
To be honest I doubt A video would work well but I will try it in a little bit on the phone. And see if it picks it up

not sure going to sure as hell try it's driving me nuts. I love my GTP and i'll sink whatever money i can into it to keep it running so i hate when something isn't right. Except the ABS and well that's another topic one day.
 
Im pretty sure its one of your mounts. My old gp did what you are describing but I never looked into it.

Try putting in reverse and accelerating. Mine would always make a thudding type noise as soon as I would begin to move.
 
pop the hood fire up the car, then watch the engine as you shift it from P to R then To D, and back R. if its flapping back and fourth you need new mounts for sure.
 
I'm going to check them Friday I did the main mount last year but neglected the trans I bet that's what's causing my issues. Because i remember how bad the thumping was with the motor mount and I guess it wouldn't hurt to swap out the dogbones as well

I was going to just order poly mounts and I have read about that just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Seems super easy to do

Think you guys are right on the mount. I think the trans mount is smashed from looking today. Because I recall when the main one went it would thump at lights and stop when I would take off. This thump isn't as bad but it's just annoying as hell. So i'm going to make a day out of this on Tuesday. Trans mount, dogbones, also found a vacuum leak as well which i'm going to replace that line as well. One thing I noticed yesterday thought that is driving me nuts which i'm going to probably have to go to another thread with this one is I let the car sit yesterday running when I got to work. I had some time so I let it run and it actually got hot to the point where for the first time ever I saw the TEMP light actually kick on. But when driving and when I got home yesterday I let it sit and it didn't heat up that much. Maybe someone could chime in that's viewing this thread ? Thermostat possibly shot ?
 


Coolant issue is fixed It was definitely low so I let it run for awhile and yeah temp issue under control lol. I had my girlfriend shift it from park to drive to reverse and back and the engine is definitely jumping again. Which i'm sure is the trans mount now. I guess I should have changed it when I did the motor mount. And for all I know the new motor mount could be faulty too.
