strange noises from the dash near gauge cluster

when in operation, i hear these wierd popping noise from the dash. Normally i hear them only after a long drive and lots of stop and go. Anyone know what that could be? also there is a loud popping noise from the rear when braking in the rain. These may have already been posted but i didn't see a place to search for threads and i'm kinda lazy when it comes to searching, lol. any ideas?
 


Does it only happen when the car is moving? One time my trip meter was sticking and making the same kind of noise. If you notice the trip meter isn't doing anything, then push the button and try get it to keep working see if the noise stops.
