Strange grind, timing chain?

Trying to figure out this grind I have had ever since yesterday when I overtook some slow car on the highway. It's only during high RMPs as with normal cruising everything is fine. Idle is fine, motor seems to accellerate like normal.

Ignore the SES light in the video, it's due to a bad MAF

I'll be checking my flexplate in the morning to see if it's cracked

Alright, just ruled out both the pump and the flexplate. Any other ideas? Might have it checked out tomorrow

Is there a constant noise at xxx rpm or is it brief?
Also try and listen to it under the car when it happens?

Have you removed the supercharger belt and started it to see if it is actually engine related and not the blower?

I'll give the blower a shot in the AM. As far as it being constant, no it's not. It's only around thr 4K range. I haven't seen if it stays all the way to the shift just due to trying not to cause any serious damage, if it so happens to be a big problem

That's what i'm thinking it might be. Just confused on why it's not a constant thing?

Anyhow, went ahead and got another vid of it with the supercharger belt off

If the rubber in the dampener goes to crap sometimes it can only be heard at the higher rpm's. I would pull the belts off and run it and see if the noise is still there. Maybe even a bad tensioner pulley. Just guesses?

haha not even. After selling my L67 i'll only be biting about $200 plus another $100 or so for the L32-L67 TB adapter

In my mind, that's an AWESOME alternative.
