Strange Brake Problem

Hey guys, I have a strange problem With my brakes, but maybe not the brakes at all. Sometimes when I'm coming to a stop I can feel the ABS kick in with a "grinding" kind of feel to the brake pedal. The ABS light doesn't come on. This seems to only happen at a low stop stop like below 10mph. I have replaced the front pads and the master cylinder (Was going bad) and have good stopping power, no air in the lines, etc. Just this ABS type of thing once in a while. (Was doing this before the brake job) I checked today and there are no codes.

So my thoughts are these:

Wheel sensor going bad? (Front hubs replaced apx 6 months ago)
Caliper locking up? (Didn't see any unusual wear on the pads)
Rear brakes or sticking rear caliper? (Pads looking low/worn; not removed just eyeballed; haven't changed them in a while)
EBCS starting to have problems? (I hope not; but no codes, although maybe my computer can't scan them?)

Any suggestions? I hate to take it to a shop if it's something I can fix myself.

Thanks guys. :)

The ABS light does not come on when it's being engaged. It sounds like the wheel speed sensor is going bad. Or the ABS sensor in the hub. I'd check the wires running to both sensors and look for any damage.

Had this exact same issue in my Impala, replaced it with a couple hubs and every time I went to take the wheel off the wires were stripped out of the hub, was my front right, then put a timekin in there, same thing happened, I used the clip holder that's assigned and every time wires would be stripped, never did figure it out, the abs would only come on at really low speeds if I turned the wheel. All the way to the left. Front right hub was the issue, never figured it out n sold it with 215k miles on it, was done throwing money at it. Hope you have better luck!
