Yeah don't. If you want loud, the furthest anyone on this forum would go as far as advice, is at least keep a real nice resonator in there.
 
My car has headers and stock mufflers. It was done from a budget standpoint, it was cheapest. loud, sounds pretty terrible. but I did out run a guy with an almost exact same modded car, but he had a stock cat back... so maybe you can gain power!

the answer is no, it won't. honestly, though, you should just stop while your ahead. the stock exhaust is by far the best option for these cars.
 
Im not sure... Pretty sure if you have headers and straight pipe on a N/A you lose low end torque. Prettyyyyyyyy sure.
 


Cam and headers with stock exhaust ftw!! personally I hate v6 straight piped 3800's lol sounds horrible I've heard too many rd my parts I wouldn't do it

straight pipe is not worth it on these cars, it would be loud and obnoxious... no it would not hurt your engine, no it would not result in a loss of power but you will probably see no gain in power, and if you remove the catalytic converter you may succeed in turning your engine light on!
 
I run my GTP res only... because im too lazy to fix the rusted broke catback.

Its cool because its a GTP and I live in flint.

Please no, just no. Frosty's downpipe popped off at the track and I basically went deaf after taking it for a couple runs, which honestly was a better option than hearing a 3800 with no res or mufflers.
