Stopping Rattling in Back Deck

Hey guys does anyone know any tricks to stop the back deck where the rear speakers are from rattling from subs? Its litterally moving and making awful rattling noises when the music is up...Any Ideas?
 


Hmmm.. not sure....Is it the actual back deck that is moving? If you can pin point it maybe some rubber or foam tape?
 
i used clear silicone to seal the grill on my back deck and i dynamatted the underside of the tray and the rear metal itself.
 
ya what reinke said......foam tape and dynamat...best around....also, is it also your deck lid? i had the same problem and i dynamted my entire trunk and lid and siliconed parts of the tail lights....and also, in the trunk, under the back deck, your speakers and mounts i guarantee are loose as hell...i got in my trunk and checked that out right away....take a bottle of silicone, some foam tape, and some dynamat in with you....and you could prolly make a days worth of work out of findin stuff that rattles and that needs to be siliconed or taped...make sure you find it all before you put your dynamat up though...
 
raamat is good but not everyone wants to use a heat gun to get the mat to follow all the contours. thats why i recommen dynamat to the average person. you do not need a need gun to get it to conform nicely. but a little heat never hurt.
 


if you need to use a heat gun for raamat, then i recommend you have someone else install your dampener. i have done 12 cars with all different door styles, roof styles, trunk contours, back wall designs, and have never once used a heat gun.

no need for it. all you need is a utility knife, acetone (to clean the surface), and a plastic puddy spreader.

raamat is the best deadner i have ever used at a price competable with any other out there.

WOW! I just checked the site for that Raamat, and man it is about $50 bucks cheaper than Dynomat! And from what I can tell, you get a heck of a lot more sq ft per roll than you do with the Dynamat!

Nice find Bonnie! I am gonna be doing my trunk, rear deck, under the rear seat and probably my doors, well at least front the 2 doors, not to sure if I really need to do the rears or not.

been running there deadner for about 2 years now and love it. depends though on what your doing, if you plan on running some speakers in the rear doors then go for it (i would like to eventually run some 8's in there). but a couple pieces in the door would help with rattling in between the panel and door.
 


thanks for all the feedback. I have another question does anybody know how to remove the access door to the trunk with the lock on it? its behind the rear arm rest
