my wife is very heavy handed. she slams her doors all the time. when she did it in my truck the first time she broke my door which is about 80% fiberglass. i made her rebuild the door. she has not done it since.
 
I hate when my friends do it...they get one freebie and then they walk. Had one say, "are you serious?" I said do it again and find out! He doesn't even have a car.

My first car was a 89 F-150 with dents and scratches, but people knew not to mess with it. It was my baby, and one day I had a rough, rough day and punched my truck. My friend punched it too thinking it would be funny til I hit him, may have dents, but they are my dents. Then when I got my hood first put on I was downtown at my favorite bar and some random guy was sitting on my car hood smoking. I set off my alarm and yelled "get off" He just looked at me like so what. So I laid him out...No problems since:)!!

Funny how that works, last time she slammed my door I left her and took off for a bit, got her pissed but she aint slammed it since.
 


My kids WERE bad about slamming the doors. I've jumped them so many times that now they sometimes have to close the door twice to get it shut. They close them too easy the first time now. LOL!
 
Everyone does it when Im driving.. I tell them not to slam the door when they get out, and what do they do!? Slam it! I tell them not to slam my door and the response I get is, "I didnt slam it"!! WTF!

OMG, that sh*t drives me nuts. is "slamming" the door really THAT relative of a term? Don't close the door like it's made out of concrete, is it so hard to f*cking understand??! Or sometimes I even get the comment, "It's JUST a car." WTF???!!!!! What really gets me is that half the time the people slamming the door are the people we consider "friends." Friends who should know better or at least have a little consideration. You shouldn't have to ask someone multiple times to respect your sh*t. But that's just the problem...it's not their car, so it's not their problem...until you show them different
 
Whoever does so repeatedly even after I ask them not to will get their ass left on the side of the road next time they need a ride from me.

I'll come pick them up of-course, but they'll only make it halfway to their destination before I pull over and tell them to screw off.
 


i was taught from a young age not to slam doors .. i have an uncle that slams them like i have never seen before .. he says its because he is use to the sagging doors on his old camaro .. he has not owed the car for about 10 years and still says that every time he slams the door .. SO i open the door and close it for him since he just does not know what easy means .. i even showed him that u can close the door with one finger .
 
wow i love this thread haha agree with everyone i hate that people get out and just slam that baby shut hurts my ears half the time lol so im always like calm down godzila im surprised the window didnt shatter!!
 
Yeah that is one of the first things I noticed from going from the mustang to my GTP the doors are lighter and when people slam them I get pretty ticked but tell them the next time they do they are replacing the entire door or are paying me double for the ride.

Or have any of you people had people lift your trunk with the wing, they don't lift mine they catapult it up and slam it shut with the spoiler to, drives me nuts:th_angry-censored:
 
My friend has a huyandai sp* and her doors are so light you almost have to slam them to get them to shut it almost always takes me at least 2 times to shut them and when she gets in my car she closes the doors like she does her car.... grrr. but she always apologizes her bf shows trucks and cars constantly so she knows it's not cool i think it's just habit but it's still annoying. Her bf actually yelled at her for slamming MY door one night it was pretty funny but she's my best friend so i let it slide.... a little

no but really, the grand prix doors and trunk and ridiculously easy to close. maybe something is wrong with my passenger side or its just a bad design. I wish they had rubber stoppers or heavier springs to absorb the impact. thats one of the only major complaints I have with the car
 
i can't stand when people slam my door either. a co-worker rode with me on lunchbreak one day and slammed my door so hard she almost got left at the mall. my brother also slams my door every single time he gets out. i understand that the door may be a little heavy(2door), but come on. and my boyfriend slams the hell out of my trunk. he has a grand prix too and as soon as he gets it running and i ride in it i am going to slam anything possible on his car. lol
 
My daughter is very heavy handed and honestly is naturally very strong. she slams the hell oyt of my doors,she even slams the hell out of her aunts doors & she has a Trailbazer. Needless to say she very rarely rides in my car.LOL!
