stock times?

So I have an 2002 gp gt. Has 83k No mods yet just wondering what the stock GT times are? I've ordered zzp pcm and getting ready to throw that on but reason why I'm asking is a friend is saying his 07 g6 2.4l 4cyl can take me? I'm thinking not.... ideas?

You're probably in the same ballpark. Think 16s in the quarter for the GT, maybe high 15s if your launch is on point/car is running swell. NA 3800s are brutally slow.

mine stock ran a 16.3 at 3500 ft on a vector not sure how accurate that was at the time but my friends at the time had a sunflower gt with a 2.4 that ran like a 16.5 on the same vector in the same spot on the same night so it should be fairly close

G6 is much heavier then the sunflower though.
I ran 15.6 with a 2.5" downpipe.hv3 and tune. Was my first time at the track.

So the 3800 is to be compared to a small 4 cylinder?

Many modern 4 cylinders will put even a supercharged 3800 to shame. These motors are from a different time. Appreciate it for what it is. Torquey enough for daily use, fuel efficient, and reliable.

so your saying, g6 with the 3.5 will blow a gp out the water? I bought a g6 gt with 89k miles, me and my brother were going down the interstate and it was a pretty fair battle with my 01 gt gp 62k miles. wasnt a straight race, it was just back and forth flying by each other.
