Took a quick peak through past threads and may have missed my answer, but nonetheless: what are the speaker sizes in a non-Bose 97 gtp? I notice small tweets in the windshield columns, door speaks and 6x9s in the rear, but also another beside each 6x9, what are those? Also, are any non-bose systems amplified?
 


5 1/4 in the doors. Rears 6x9's and 4" (optional) No non-bose are amplified. Unless it has an aftermarket amp.
 
Thanks for the reply, I noticed the 8 speakers in total and the 4" mystery ones in the rear. Also has a delco 12 disc changer in the trunk. I'm gonna swap out the 6x9s for some blaupunkts and some 6.5 pioneers in the door
 
So after a few weeks of messing around I recently replaced the door speakers for 6.5" pioneers and blaupunkt 6x9's in the rear, didn't touch the 4's. But, turns out there's no sound going to the 6x9's at all! My question is about the little amp/booster behind the glove box: does it power all speakers or just the 6x9's? Tried researching with no clear answer. I'm planning on putting in a aftermarket HU later, will I have to bypass the amp/booster anyways? If so I'd like to use the stock 6x9 wiring from the amp/booster to wire the aftermarket HU.
