I have the stock radio with CD player. The CD player was not working so I replaced it. Not really that hard ot that big of a deal but just thought I would document what I did. Please see the attachment.

Hey michee, Post up your documents in the How to write up section. I'm sure it will be usefull to someone.

My CD player wont read CD's, it just ejects them for me... lol

If you have one extra, i would be interested in buying.

I checked and I don't have one - just got rid of the last working one. If you are interested in me fixing it PM me your year and model and I'll see if I can find some parts.

all of u should use all your stock decks for target practice...they suck

Now, now... my wife is VERY happy with hers. It plays scratched nursery rhymes just fine on the 3 1/2 speakers - one in the back has a small hole in it! I replaced it but she never knew it was bad...

Tons of people resell their vehicle with the old CD player in them. They go for about $120 on ebay. Make yourself a quick $100 by selling your "target!"

Haha I put my stock cd player with equalizer in my mom's grand am when I put my other deck in. I miss my steering wheel controls, but not enough to buy one of those converter boxes or whatever they are.

Yea, those are big$$ I looked into that and actually took back a stereo upgrade 'cause the wife wanted steering wheel controls.. what ever makes her happy!!

Aftermarket stereo - $150-200, plus Steering Wheel control adapter = $100.

Why pay $300 for a radio when the one you have works just fine, and fits better than aftermarkets.

My thoughts exactly. I see no need in getting a new stereo. My stock one does everything I need it to. I also hate the look of aftermarket stereos. They stick out weird and just look way out of place.

stock sounds like crap, but that's just me (I like all the frequencies on my cd's to be played and a stock radio cuts out too much)
