Stock intake tube?

The filter doesnt even fit inbetween the TB and the electronic stuff on the right... WTF!?

The Cruise Control motor is in the way... unbelievable... I need like 1/4 of an inch if that

Wow coulda spent 20 bux on a Spectre Air filter at Autozone and been done with it. O well spend you money foolishly it's your car.
 
It's called move it out of the way. I have a LS1 TB and External MAF and by the graces of god mine fit...don't know why though...
 


What i did that reduced the hassle and the amount of work is got a spectre filter, 3inch PVC. Take out the whole box and just let the CPU sit in the tray. The 3 inch actually fits in the stock tube all the way back to the sensor and literally stops before it gets there so you wont have to worry about damaging it. I just kept pushing it past all the wavy restrictive parts of the intake tube. I have to get a cam to show pics. But this makes it so there is no need to buy anything except the filter and the PVC. I think its the cheapest method while still keeping your sensors.
