stock air box

the stock air box has a 4" ish tube inside of it, going from behind the headlight to the filter,
what if I were to make the air box hollow by taking out that tube and opening up the front of the air box completly
that tube seems very restrictive to me

how much of a difference would I see with a Wizair Intake versus the gutted air box? I do have a K&N drop in filter already

There's hardly any difference with a gutted air box to stock. K&N filter or not.

I noticed substantial difference with my Wizair over anything else I've used. I think the bulk of its gains come from its insulation properties.

I definitly agree. Im waiting for my wizard box. Ive read up on every other intake and the wizard seems to be the winner, with the heat retardant box and plastic cover, a ideal design

actually when i gutted it ran worse mpg went down 2 miles per gallon average lost toque some reason it didnt flow all that well. make your own!!!
