Still shaking

Ok,so the problem that I had and still am having is that when I'm accelerating and get around 35-40mph and my car starts to shake/make a slight knocking noise when I'm driving and its coming from the drivetrain I believe, but I've had my tires Balanced, new wheel bearings on both sides,Just recently replaced my drivers side CV axle, and my tie rods look fine,no play in them,I'm at a dead end on trying to find out what the problem is....I talked to a guy at a local tire shop and he said it could be my "lower ball joint" or "outer tie rod".......anybody ever experience anything similar or have any ideas of what it could be??? Any help is appreciated!....

Dont bash me for this post.
i had some tranny issures like that. After seaching some fourms of different cars and I firgure out many cars have had a shifting pressure problem that could be fix by using a shift kit.Mine like to shudder and shake a bit around 35 and around 4th gear. a shift kit fixed mine,Its just an idea. Good luck though

and shaking when on the brakes?
Nah,its only shimmying/shaking between 35-50 and its only when I'm accelerating,if I'm coasting it rides smooth....sn:my left front tire and left rear tire inner tread is worn, could that have something to do with it?

and shaking when on the brakes?

Nah,its no shaking when on the brakes but like a shimmy only when accelerating, when I'm coasting/not on the gas at speeds between 35 and 50 it rides smooth. SN:both left front and left rear tire inner tread is kind of worn, would that cause that to happen tho...Thanks

I have this same issue around the same speeds. I've replaced the inner P/S tie rod end, the P/S lower ball joint. All new struts. Rotated and balanced the tires, D/S and P/S hub bearings. All new engine and transmission mounts. It only happens with the acceleration and I really notice it getting on and off of the ramps on I-95. No noise what so ever but i have read on thse forums that some people never find the issue. I'm at my wits end.

2002 G/P GT. 147000 miles.

I just replaced my CV axle(driver side) this pass weekend and also did my Passenger side a little over a year ago...this ish really sucks tryna guess what it could be. So I guess I have to try some shorter dogbones maybe....I've tried everydamn thing else.

Here's a post that I found today, the last sentence sounds about right for my vibration :( I've been looking for the solution to my vibration for 5 months....

Could be tires - could be input shaft - could be warped/bent rim - could be could be could be. :)

First thing to look for when you think a halfshaft might be a problem - grease. Check inside the wheel wells for any grease on the control arm - and on the sway bar - it tends to accumulate on the outermost sway bar bushing. Half shafts tend to "let you know" when they are going out - you will either have a noticeable noise when turning corners, or even when just cruising down the highway. In corners, you'll hear a sort of "wharble" - sounds like something is out of round, and is often accompanied by tire squealing - on the highway it will sound like a growling noise - almost like excessive road noise. You may want to check the tie rods as well - jack the car up, grab the tire and 3 and 9 o'clock and try to move it left to right, do the same at 12 and 6 o'clock. If it moves much at all - that could be your culprit- and yes it can/will cause vibrations.

If you check those and all is well - or don't have any of those other symptoms...get the tires/wheels balanced - make sure to have them tell you what corrections they made and where. If that still doesn't fix it - I would recommend pulling the driver's side halfshaft and checking the input shaft on the transmission - if it starts puking fluid as soon as you pull the halfshaft off - and the input shaft is loose - there is your problem...and I'm sorry. At that point - call Trannyman. :)

i dont recall loosing any fluid on my driver side when i did mine. i give up on this **** and i hate taking it to some one and paying them to figure out the problem but i have changed everything that would cause a vibration except the input shaft so i guess ill jus deal with it
