• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

still mifiring..

Icm is good. Coils are good. took off boots from wires. Running premium fuel drove it all morning also used some injector cleaner and octane booster. Still nothing. Checked compression thats good. I was sure that something would have worked! Any other suggestions?

i tossed mine during my first tune up, well before i knew they could cause a problem, seemed worthless to be on there, and they make the wires harder to deal with.

I had the same problem, at first i too was using regular gas and i kept getting a random misfire code and cylinder 3 sometimes. But i started using the 93 gas i had the code come on once, then i filled it up again and so far no codes came on. maybe it will take a tank or 2 for it to stop.

Dumb question.. but this happened to me.

My Service engine light didnt clear on its own. It had to be manual reset with a scanner when i had a cylinder 6 misfire.

I replace fuel filter, injectors, plugs, wires, coils and the cylinder 6 misfire was still there.

finally i took an Aeroforce, scanned the car and i got 0 misfires, reset the code and it never came back.

So what im trying to say, if you havent done this already, reset the Service Engine light code and do so after each fix you make.

Oh yah I have my own obd2 scanner plus I have a few at work.I do that. Anyways I got the problem fixed icm was bad. I swapped the coils around... Nothing... Checked all plugs and wires again... Nothing. The took icm into work and scanned it with my wells tester... Bad checked it like four times. 120$ later purrs like a kitten. But at work I ordered all new msd coils and wires and put those in this morning. Runs a whole lot smoother. Thanks a whole lot guys. All your help was great. And merry xmas! A day late but oh well lol.

Well you did good, then shot yourself in the foot with those MSD coils.

I'm sure the car will run fine with them for a while, but sooner than later those MSD coils will likely end up causing another problem, they are known to not be good on our cars.

we have 85 octane here and its rare to find 91, the normal ones are regular: 87 midgrade: 89 premium: 93 and e85

Meh, I never had any issues with either my coils or my wires.

Well I ran msd coils and wires on my last Gtp and ran great... Til I wrecked it lol. Which I miss that one.. but just starting my mods. And I ran into these problems. Oh another quick question. What do guy recomment for first pulley size drop? I don't want to drop it to far and damage other parts..
