sticky shifter?

ok what is going on? i have on '03 gp and the damn thing doesnt like to shift out of park. the button on the shifter takes me two hands with a very firm grip to get it to release. help me please with any suggestions. the colder the weather the harder it is to get it to release.
 


Pop the top of the shifter off, its just 1 little clip you can pop out with a flat head screwdriver, and spray everything down good with some wd40, or white lithium grease, etc. put it back together and check it out.
