Stering Making Noise - Shaft Problem

My steering was making noise whenever i start accelerating, apply brakes, makes turn, changes gear.....mechanic told me that shaft has gone bad and its due to poor design in grand prix...he replaced the steering shaft..the problem has gone away but not completely.

Is it true that grandprix has steering shaft design flaw?
