Steering wheel...

Does anyone know if I have to take the airbag off to get these steering wheel pieces off? My book does not get very specific about this.

Hahahah. Actually I'm hoping someone comes along and explains / links to how to remove the wheel from a 97-03 AND an 04+ lol

Theres usually 2 screw/ torx bolts in the back of the steering wheel that will take the cover and all that off, then the airbag usually unclips. I don't know if those pieces come off the steering wheel though...

Thanks for the replies but, I still dont have a definate answer. I know about the screws on the back of the steering wheel. I took one out and it still doesnt want to come off. Im not going to risk breaking it. I need someone who has actually done it, to tell me. Anyone else?

Look on the other side of the steering wheel, and possibly the bottom too.

Ummmm....The other side looks just like this, lol. I do know how to investigate problems. That picture is of the screw that possibly takes them off. I just need someone to tell me whether or not there is another one underneath the airbag.

no clue until you take it off... im going to the junkyard saturday, i KNOW there is at least 1 04+ there.. i can try and take apart the wheel and report back if you can wait. lol
