I understand it could be other things but outter tie rods are a cake job. And a good place to start since their way easier than ball joints. And control arm bushings are a massive PITA !!

Ok dude! I was simple stating what I had done to try and stop my issue. You started your post with "Good god people replace the tie-rods with some MOOGs and call it a day" and my post was in response to that.
 


Driver side CV axle changed on my 01 GP , vib on acceleration GONE!
steering wheel wiggle - IMPROVED

I am going to do the other side as well soon since its pretty cheap part and surprisingly easy to change on this car.

used A1 Cardone select new CV shaft. quite happy with it so far.

since this car has 170,000kms and still has original struts I'm thinking I will replace the strut assemblies soon too.
