Steering wheel swap

Hey guys I was noticing that 2004-2005 Bonneville GXP steering wheels look exactly like my 2003 Grand Prix one, And I was wondering if it would be a direct plug and play swap, Or are the airbag and radio controls different

OP, did you find out if the wheel is a straight swap? I think it would be when replacing an 01-03 GP wheel.
 


un hook the battery. behind the wheel is 4 holes stick a small screw driver in the holds and turn it, you'll feel a spring move, pull on the corner it pulls up some repeat for the lower one same side then the other side.
 
Sorry I know this is kind of an old thread but I just swapped a bonneville gxp steering wheel to my 01 gtp special edition. I used a steering wheel puller with the hooks from carquest. Wheel came off 1-2-3. Anyway the swap was plug and play with the exception of the airbag. You would have to use your original one. The bonneville airbage had two plug ins whereas ours only has one.

Did you utilize the clockspring from the Bonneville or your original one?
 
you use your stock clock spring unless you dont have radio controls now on the wheel, and then you need another wire to the radio harness, cause the clock spring plugs into a little black wire and a large block under the dash.
