Starting getting worse

My car in the summer usually starts great, kachik vroom. But lately the car would bog when I start it then work its way up to 1k rpms. Today I witnessed actually knocking noise when starting, kind of scared me a bit and also today after the car was parked for a few hours. It had to turn over quite a bit to start. Not normal.

I smell oil once in a while also : /

I've wanted to change the module that the coil packs sit on for a while now.

But I would like your input first of course, anyone experience this problem before? Any tips would be awesome.

take the module to autozone right off your car while warm, and have them test it. as far as starting issues, are you saying that when its cold its not starting? or that it just isnt starting normally, period.

I'm saying that the car starting is not normal. And it seems to be getting worse slowly. So I can just have oreillys test it for me?

I read up on a bad EGR valve. And I think I want to clean mine up. I think I know what/where it is but I am not sure. Anyone have a pic or simple directions to find this buster?

autozone can test the starter. pull it off and bring it to them, or take the whole car to them. either way.

I will try to take it to them and have it tested although all of a sudden the car starts great lately. Whatever.

Here is an example of something wrong with my car:

At the 0:10 mark you can here a change in the engine tone and power.

And under, I'd say a 10% throttle, cruising, the car would work its way down to 1400-1500 rpms and studder. So I think if I change out the module that I was talking about earlier, I think it will fix the problem.
