Spyder Projector Lighting

Bedwards

In the Spyder projector headlights, I will use my regular turn signal bulb, an H1 HID low beam bulb and a 9005 high beam halogen. Correct?

And when I wire them, I'll have to modify the harness to turn the halogen bulb on when I hit the high beams, but without turning the HID low beams off (to prevent damaging them), correct? How would I go about doing this? Thank you.

It'll come with the H1 and 9005, so don't worry about those. The other two bulbs are your stockers and just pop in. The halos you can tap in where you like, I chose the parking light (the bigger of the two stock bulbs). No idea how to keep the HID on with the highs though, but to be honest, the highs suck *ss anyway, so it doesn't matter too much.

Thanks for the reply. I am buying them used so they wont come with any bulbs. Why do the high beams suck? Is there a way to correct them?

The high beams were just never the focus. Best I can figure, the design of the reflector on them just blows. No way to correct them to my knowledge, not much need to either though. Once you get the lows adjusted (careful with the brackets, they are fragile) you'll find you rarely need the highs.

I was looking for which bulbs you need since i have a burned out bulb, i tried contacting the company and have not heard back from them

does anyone know which h1 bulb (maker of bulb, part#) you need to replace the originals with i'm sure there are different types of h1 bulbs depending on the different makes of vehicles, maybe not i would like to get the bulbs before i remove the headlight

From what I saw, just any H1 halogen bulb should do. They're all the same, that's why they all have the same designation. Would recommend paying the money for a higher level bulb, but I'm not sure if some of the 100W bulbs would work with our wiring, so I'd stay away from those.

All H1's should be the same. As for the high beams there isn't much you can do about them. I put HID's in my lows and highs but for some funky reason one burnout out fog allows my low and high beams to be on at the same time by using the fog light switch, ya it's weird. However, when i'm out running backroads its pretty nice.

There are write ups to make the fogs, lows, and highs all come on. I've thought about doing that. Just never got around to it yet I guess.
