Spyder halo

I am trying to align my Spyder halo headlights. They have a weird angle to them. Up/down and left right can be adjusted but this damn angle. Does anyone have experience with these or know how to adjust this?

I do have experience with these and all and all your hosed lol.

I got mine decent by adding washers between the mounting tab and the body.

I also added some 1/2 inch foam backer rod from home depot under the light to keep them from bouncing around..

All and all these lights are frigging annoying but look cooler then stock imo

Yeah the leveling is crazy. I have a warranty set on the way so hopefully those are better. If the next set sucks as well I may try what wow said. Either that or get my $220 back and use the brand new smoked ones I have. I prefer the halo look though. :/

I’m not familiar with the retrofit. Isn’t that basically turning stock housings into Halos? If so do you think there is a way to straighten these lights out?

retro is putting real hid projectors into any headlight housing

to straighten out those projectors you have to take it apart, might as well have real projectors to swap out then

Well if the warranty set is bad like I suspect I will make them refund the money and maybe do a real retrofit?? I take it there isn’t any already made projector housings that are any good for the 04+ crowd is there? Most of the tutorials I find are for Gen II.

Well the spyder retro didn’t go so well. I decided to retro an aftermarket set. I blew through it quickly and all was going great, everything aligned and set with epoxy. Well the Acme Super H1s do not allow the cover to go back on. The bi-xenon motor and projector sticks out too far. I have a projector lens that sits right on the reflector bowl without and space. Will that be ok or do they require a certain amount of space to function properly?

Not sure if space is required, but I had quite a bit (Mormito 5.0 projectors).....

Why would he, he is a business. I sent him all the parts and he assembled them for $!50 years ago, best thing ever.

I finished my “first” completed retrofit. I only did the low beam side due to budget. It’s not the cleanest retro but functional. I used the Acme Super H1 Bi-Xenon, mini Gatling black shroud and a profile pivot ring.

I can see the pictures. I’m not sure what happened.

Overall I am very happy with them. The light output is great and the profile pivot switchback is cool. The brights are crazy bright. The things I don’t like is I can see the mounting wire for the halo and some marks of the putty epoxy on the shroud. For my first time I am ok with it.
