springs and struts

Putting in zzp lowering springs and was wondering if i could leave the stock struts in or if i should switch them out with kyb gr2/excel g struts? Are they worth it or the stock ones fine?

how many miles on your stock struts? Chances are they are close to shot anyway and need changed so might as well change them because those springs will likely finish them of shortly.

Aight cool. Are the kyb ones good or should i get something else? I cant afford the adjustable ones so something around 200 or less would be good

I havent bought them yet. I looked around at a couple other sites like 3800 performance and they sell the springs for roughly the same price. If you know a place that sells them cheaper it would be greatly appreciated.

I lowered mine and put the gt2 struts in about 2 years ago... been doin fine since then... its all a matter of personal preference really ad all will have different driving styles...

personally I drove one with the adjustable springs and other than the ride being a little smoother, performance wise there wasn much difference between the adjustable type and gt2s

I asked the people on ssc how much for a set of 4 and they said its 200 including the shipping. the front drop 1.8" and the back is 1.6" should i get them or the ones from zzp?

the springs zzp sells ARE ssc springs. buy them wherever you can get them cheapest.

i personally dont like the spring rates versus the drop and think they ride too harsh for the drop they give.

the only spring youre going to find that doesnt lower the car that much and is still an improvement are vogtland springs. they are the original manufacturer of the GMPP springs used on their upgraded suspension before they discontinued it.

however, at this point in time you're going to have a hard time tracking a set down. they seem to fly off the shelves anytime they are produced.

I just checked the vogtland site and they sell lowering springs for 230 and the drop is 1.4" should I get those instead or the ssc ones?
