Spring Rates for lowering

So I'm looking into dropping and upgrading the front of my car a little bit. I have been looking at spring rates. For my bonne it is around 140 lbs/in. (don't worry they will fit when I'm done) Looking at DNA spring at 450lbs/in. Is this going to be crazy stiff or is there something odd about there number.

DNA are definitely not that high of a spring rate. not even close. i bet they are under 200 lb/in and linear.

That's what I was thinking too. The description says 450 lb/in and I was thinking if any truck springs are that high ha. I'm swaying to a more higher quality spring though. The Bonne is a little heavier and I'm going for a little bit of a raked look.

i would get something like eibach or SSC, to be honest.

Just convert to coil over seriously its like the same price as eibachs. And your Bonneville isn't that much heavier.

Boom awesome thank you for not giving me the go look it up on google answer. This look easy peasy. Now for the stupid question. These will ride better than any stock configure drop spring?

most likely. depends how low you go and if you're going to ride the bump stops or not.

and which spring rates you go with.

I'm only looking to drop an 1.5 or 2. I don't want to rake it too much and really stress out the front. Now bump stops are the trapezoidal hard foam pieces?

Yep I know of the bags too. I don't you know if I want to raise the rear anymore. But I would like to drop the front and add fbodies.

You don't have to raise the rear with them. You can just hold the rear where it is.

That's all I dropped my gxp with coilovers they ride at SSC height but my strut mount has the mounting point a inch higher so at my current ride height I'm still getting 4-5 in of strut travel. And I love the way it Rides

Very true. Once I tune and see if I blow tires off then I'll throw them in there too ha.
