Sportiest power steering rack

Guys.. My 2000 Regal is about to get a trans swap and I've noticed some symptoms that the rack may be on it's way out. There's no better time than while the subframe is out of the way to do a rack.

I have some suspension mods and always like a good high speed corner. Which vehicle will I find the rack that suits my desire for a sportier turn etc. Seen some discussions on various ones, but can't seem to locate them now that I'm looking.

are they all different between the w-bodies? i was under the assumption that they would be the same.

I found you an interesting article that talks about Magnasteer. Apparently... "The system can be recalibrated to modify steering feel using a Tech 2 or equivalent aftermarket scan tool. There are three settings: factory, firmer and less firm. Just follow the scan tool prompts and that is all there is to it."

I know that the Comp G's came with Magnasteer II, though I have no idea what that means.

Hope this was helpful. Or at least interesting.

Thanks for the help guys.. ... my Bonneville was cranked to max. Helped a ton with torque steer and being able to move the wheel too fast on the highway.

Guess maybe I'm getting a Regal rack. Did more Rockauto searching and most of the racks appear to be the same part number.

I think I remember reading an article sometime back on GMforum saying something about the Bonneville's having a better rack....I was always under the assumption that they were the same for the most part but people over there didn't think so....I'll try to dig that up if I can find it
