Spoiler problems

My project this summer was to completely overhaul my cars stock stereo system (mainly because the previous owner blew out helf the freaking speakers). I figured that if I was going to do it, I wanted to do it right. So I; replaced the stock stereo with a JVC aftermarket stereo; replaced the two Bose 6" x 9" woofers on the deck (they were blown) with two SONY 6" x 9" speakers; tore appart the interior and ran wires to the trunk; custom built a sub box that fits in the trunk snugly; installed a 1000 watt AUTOTEK amp; and installed two 750 watt dual voice coil Audiopipe 12" subwoofers in the trunk. I absolutely love it now! However, there is a problem. My spoiler vibrates and rattles like a mother. It was not like this at first, but 5 months of running the stero loud (which is not even at the fullest potential because im only running 500 watts to each sub) have made that thing begin to rattle badly. It is loud enough that I can actually hear it when I am sitting inside the car. Nedless to say that when you are outside the car, it sounds like crap because of that rattle, which is not the effect im trying to create. When I place my hands on it though, it stops. I have tried tightening the spoiler down, but it does not help at all. So does anyone have any idea of how to solve this problem?

I had same problem, you might want to also check to see if you have any water coming through the bolt holes. What I did was take the spoiler off, bought the thickest strongest double sided tape and a tube of silicone. Double sided tape along whole perimeter and silicone at all bolt holes. Tighten down evenly and wait a day before pounding the system to let silicone dry. With mine it was more or a leak issure then the rattle but it took care of both.

Mine did the same thing, I took the spoiler off, used some silicone around all the bolt holes, and got some 1/2 foam (peel and stick kind) and ran it around the edges of the spoiler (probably 1" in from the actual edge)

You cant tell anything is under the spoiler (no visible foam) and it fixed my rattling problem.

Any suggestions on where to get foam like this?
