Speed limiter @110 WTF???

On an open streach of road, with no cars in sight for 3 mles in either direction, I opened up my GP today to find.....
a speed limiter at 110?

what do I need to rectify this horrible mistake on behalf of GM?
Can this be done without voiding the factory warranty?

The speed limited is in the PCM. Either buy an aftermarket PCM or have someone with a tuner change the limit in the PCM.

Im assuming that by buying a aftermarket pcm, then reinstalling the factory if I need service I could get around the warranty issues?

Before you get too crazy, make sure that your tires are rated for the speed. A blowout at 120 would probably be teh sux.

I'm pretty sure ZZP tunes the Series III motors. There's a 2004+ drop down option on their PCM page.

(which confuses our Impala/ Monte owners all the time since they used the Series II from 00-05)

May I suggest an Overkill PCM. He can fix you up. If I were to buy another mail order PCM it would be from Will. He is the only one that builds a totally custom PCM based on your mod list.
