Speed Daddy U-Bend Delete Modifications

I suppose it depends on how you cut it but yea Intrigue used the stock piping reread his thread if needed but adding additional pipe if needed isn't difficult if you have someone welding them for you.

After having started hacking into my new SD headers... I disagree. I bought a pacesetter weld-in flex to replace the one that came with it. After staring at Intrigue's pictures and trying to assemble the pieces on my jig, it is short a few inches of pipe. Staring and arguing with my uncle about how to make it work, we came to the conclusion that Intrigue used a slip-on flex which has roughly 2 inches of pipe on both sides and provides pipe to slip into the race-pipe/cat. This may have been obvious to some, but not to me. I will now be sending back my weld-in flex and buy a slip-on.

Just saying so that if somebody else reads this they can learn from my mistake.

Good to know. I'm keeping my cat so I'll just use the included straight pipe for any extra I need, and the V-Band flanges will give me a few extra inches as well.

It isn't difficult to add extra pipe except that nobody in the area has any 3" OD stainless pipe. Made a half dozen phone calls to machine shops/steel shops and nobody had any stainless. When you get into western Minnesota, there isn't much around, so I have to change my plan. I don't know that I'll have time to deal with them again until spring break; doesn't work to have your daily in pieces for more than a day, so if things don't work like planned, you're screwed.

Try Frozenboost.com I believe they sell some SS piping and if you know the angle you'll need it'll be even better. I would make sure you go with SS especially living in MN. Nonesense my DD been sitting in my driveway for the past year ;) I manage to get around lol but I do understand.

I understand that. I wasn't sure if I could use the DP I use and not worry about the SD DP nonsense
To be honest I have no idea if you could do that. Here's pic of what I have hacked apart on the rears to this point on the headers, depending on your dp, maybe you could modify it/weld it to make it work.

Crappy photo, but got it done. Thanks everyone for your help.

I did the exact same thing. I tried it a few times with just the flex on the rear of the header, but kept ripping it. So, I added one in the downpipe just like that, and haven't had a problem with it yet.

Intrigue would have used a ZZP dual wall flex. I know him and am sure that's what he had on hand.

I used the ZZP dual wall flex as well, I know that's not what I had in my OP, but I wound up getting one and using it. I also wound up needing about 6 inches more of stainless pipe.

do you really need to add an o2 bung i ordered a speed daddy header i know i need and 02 extension and a flex pipe and also them clamps what else do i need

No offense dude but if you dk wht it is then you don't need to worry about having one right now. Google it if your curious.

No, because whats going to read that o2?

A wideband comes with a gauge that is made to convert a specific o2 sensor's readings into real time Air-Fuel Ratio numbers.
