Speed Daddy Headers or...?

I've got a 04 GTP(L32). I'm just wondering if I should bother with these Speed Daddy headers or go with some Pacesetters with ZZP's "perfection package" I can get them both for roughly the same price, $100 difference, but if I go with ZZP's package it'll be $300 difference ($650.00 to my door). I've talked to a guy on another forum and he mentioned that a few people changed out the flexi pipe with a better quality one when they got the Speed Daddy's. I don't wanna re-fab the headers to make them fit so does anyone have any opinions/experience putting the Speed Daddy's in on a L32? What about the Pacesetters as well? Thanks!

SD!! Replace the flex beforehand so you don't have to worry about it leaking on you (even though many including myself have ran the stock flex without any leaking/ticking). Shouldnt cost to much to have it cut off and the new one welded in.

If you go Pacesetters you'll still want to have part of it welded anyways so just adds more to the overall cost.

use band clamps and a new gasket to the catback in place of what they give you you will be golden. Easyish install.
get a 3.6 pulley and a tune. done

if your going to do all that you might as well fix the u bend.

I say install it and see what happens, most people dont have an issue with the flex.

Just cutting off the stock flex and welding on a new one is a easy and quick job. Modifying the bend isn't so much....OP may not want to go through all that. Especially if he keeps the stock height it shouldn't be a issue.

When I first installed mine I thought hey the bend isn't so bad ill just deal with it. Had the car at the shop and when I was leaving just to go 5 mins up the road it constantly scrapped. I hated myself for not just spending the money prior and modifying it but at the time I was impatient and didn't have the extra money to spare. Now Its pulled it off and have it sitting in the garage and when I get the time I'll modify it. The cars not my DD atm so time isn't a problem.

Edit: typo darn spellcheck

im running the sd with the ubend and i have about .5" fender gap on stock tires(about a 4" drop), Ive scraped maybe twice.

Well I live in Canada and they put road salt on the streets in the winter like a guy takes a morning piss. So I'm wondering if this will hold up to that abuse?

Roads are crappy around here but I can deal with it but since Im having a cat welded in I might as well just finish modifying them and be done with it!

Lol glad to hear that you guys feel my pain. So where would you get the ubend delete from? ZZP? What about the flex pipe? I know in Canada they charge out the ass for anything so I don't but anything but food, booze and gas here.

It all comes down to $$$ if you have a bit of patients and time modify it and never have to worry about them.

Some rough #s
SD are around $220 of so.
New flex is like $35-40 last I checked.
4 band clamps $40ish.
O2 extension. $10-15ish
Wood to build the jig $10ish if not less.
Getting them rewelded $50ish.

Just a rough idea.
