Speed Daddy Headers on

Spent several days last week getting the speed daddy headers onto my 04 GTP Comp G. I only had to bend the A/C line down 1/2 inch. That was all it took to get the headers in and sealed. The O2 sensor comes pretty close but has some room to play. Just in case I am beating in this section of firewall but have been fine without doing so. Maybe I got a lucky set of speed daddys but these fit very well and no issues/leaking or ticking with them. I wrapped the front middle header tube because it comes close to A/C Line & Front fan motor cover.

Here is a vid of my install. Since then I've put back on my heat shield for intake, and painted some engine components.

Enjoy!

Interesting way to run the plug wires. looks good. Ive had mine for about 5 years. There good headers

Nice.

Any reason why you wrapped the first primary? Wrapping Stainless steel isn't a great idea from what I've heard.

He'll be flipping the sway bar soon. There's a slight rubbing of exhaust in reverse.

Yeah guys..I'm that good. :th_laugh-lol3:

WRONG! lol.

The speed daddys are not touching the sway bar, like others have stated, much closer to the tunnel itself then the sway bar. I used air hammer, beat in tunnel for O2 sensor, however still have some crap going on with applying gas while in reverse.

Ok.. don't believe me. :th_laugh-lol3: I'm the one that's answering your post on the other forum... This isn't a motor mount, it's not a dipstick tube....lol The guys that said that are H body guys..

BTW I tossed up pics of one of the SD installs I did. You are probably rubbing the O2, but I believed that you pounded the firewall enough to keep that from touching.

Hmmm hold on here, having another thought of my mental stability. Reverse should lift the back of the motor up, meaning the piping could hit the tunnel, not sway.

Yup it kicks up up into the tunnel and makes it sound like your trans just chewed up some gears and spit them up.

Well assuming without cutting there isn't much hope if the headers are going up into the tunnel when in reverse. Maybe some poly mounts would stop the engine from moving all together, or no?

I have sd headers and for whatever reason the o2 snsr is off to the right hitting the firewall causing mad vibration. so i just took a block of wood and a hammer dented the firewall in so the 02 snsr doesnt touch. once in a while ill get vibration but i assume its from everything moving the exhaust slightly that the o2 sns hits the wall once in a while. The vibration is DEFINITLY the o2 snsr hitting the firewall though not an engine mount.

if i were to do it again id take the rear manifold to a machine shop b4 installing it have them make a new o2 hole on the top or a better location(i know theres not much room) and plug the old one.
