Speed daddy headers clam and gasket questions

"Yes...SD's are great headers...they have 2 drawbacks...

1) If you use the clamps they come with...good luck getting them to slide back apart

2) The flexpipes are crappy...get a new one welded in...

Other than that...getting off the factory exhaust sucks and you need plenty of RTV...use the crap out of it at all the joints to make sure it seals."

Where/ what brand clamps and gasket?

the gaskets should come with the speed daddys if not Ive heard cleaning and reusing is fine the band clamps are 2x2.25 bandclamps and 2x3inch bandclamps

think it was 45 bucks for all four

check out billboost's thread on easy header installation U also need a o2 sensor socket

EGR tube wont fit.

Stock front O2 sensor location sucks.

Gooseneck is amusing.

I suggest Napa for clamps.

Reuse your factory downpipe to catback gasket as well as manifold gaskets granted they are the factory reusable metal gaskets.

matt brings up a good point about egr Idk if it would have caused a problem but being in there with the intake off you might as well delete it and extinguish code imo

You can modify it to work though right?

So in addition to theses headers i also need to buy
2 x 2.25" band clamps
2 x 3.0" band clamps
new 3" flex double walled from zzp
02 extension?

Assuming the gaskets are fine.

Read da thread guy.

Frozenboost for $5 clamps
Reuse factory head to manifold gaskets
No RTV in any of my installs has been needed
Stock exhaust isn't bad to get out. Unless it's that damn Cali emission with the air tube. Then it's a little bit of a pain..not bad though.

So i don't need a double walled flex for these headers or an 02 extension?

You need a double wall flex if you don't want some single wall ticking sounds. You do need an O2 extension unless you look up the O2 sensor with longer plug that BlueGTP91 used.

I also haven't had any EGR hookup issues with SD's. In my state we have visual inspection for emissions and most people have me leave the EGR on for them.

Crossover to front primary angle is at least 20* off, causing extreme frustration.

Trim rear of crossover pipe, enough will fit in rear manifold in most cases that it will seal with rtv.

Trim EGR tube so the section of it that protrudes into the rear manifold is shorter.

Or have O2 bung welded in crossover.
