• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! i think it would be an exelent idea to bring a special button to gpf that allows users to thank one another for useful posting. maybe something along the lines of a THANKS button?

We have a "Rep" button over at S10planet. Basically when you like someones comment or post, you click the rep button, it brings up a small screen and you can leave a short comment about what you liked, and it ups their rep score.
I dont know much about programing and forums and everything, but this looks like its a VBulletin forum? Thats what the planet is, I would imagine it would be a simple change.

yathe rep button would be awesome in conjunction with a THANKS button and also a like button? so everyone is happy?
 
my local forum has the rep stuff too. you can give positive or negative, but it's not as simple as just clicking thanks/like. you need to actually write something.
 
why did "thanks" change to "like" anyways? who's call was that? not saying i'm mad about it, i really couldn't care less.
 


Kinda stupid to make a poll then. And without members there wouldn't be a site. And nevermind the ppl who donate to the site too.
 


suggestions are more than welcome, but rocket is always going to have the choice of doing what he wants with the site.
 
I do respect Rocket's choices but it is a good point, people who donate opinions should be taken into consideration.

Either way people still get their info they are on here for reguardless if the button says Thanks, Rep +-, or Asshole...
