Speaker system question....

I'm wondering what stereo system I actually have in my GP. Not much point to it I realize, but I'm just curious.
I've read somewhere that there were 3 different speaker systems for the GP's, one being a 6 speaker, one an 8 speaker and the last a 8 speaker Bose system.
If I count all the speakers that I can find I've got a total of 8. I've got 2 in each door (a big one maybe 5" and one little one in the corner of the door maybe 2") for a total of 4 and then 4 more in the back for a total of 8. The ones in the back are mounted in 2 sets of 2 with a circle and a rectangle under each plastic housing.

I'm just curious for bragging rights on my friends driving around their 4 door Civic's and because I'm amazed at how much bass this car will put out for having a stock stereo system.
Also, if it matters the car is a 98 coupe and I've got the 7 button slider equalizer and the CD player.

I could get pics if it would help anyone.
 


If it doesn't say Bose then it's not Bose. They like to advertise that ****. Or you could just stick your VIN into Comp Nine and check out your stereo's RPO description.

Hahaha, yea well if I actually had a Bose system (which I don't think I do, although I haven't checked yet) I would have had to give them some static about it since a few of 'em have a stock 4 speaker setup. I mean I gotta give 'em some static sometimes..... :th_laugh-lol3:

Static? I am so not with the lingo these kids are throwin around these days :(
 


His speakers, if he keeps beating them since they are stock will blow and produce static to show his homies in they civics!

Static....crap, you know, just mess with them. We always joke around with each other for fun.

And I'm not planning on blowing my speakers (I don't drive around listening to rap with the bass cranked up and the windows down like you probably thought I did ;) ) especially since I bought the car with my own funds in hopes of having a good vehicle to get me through high school and maybe into college.
It's my baby......I'm not gonna beat on the thing.
