Just bought my 2008 GP GXP about a week ago. She does have the Monsoon speaker system with an Eclipse AVN62D aftermarket head unit. About 3 days ago, the front driver side speaker started producing a static sound without music being played. Even with the radio on and music playing, the static sound is still being produced. Sometimes it sounds perfectly fine, but most of the time the speaker is producing the static. From the time the car starts, till she shuts off the static is being produced. Any advice or help on this issue would be greatly appreciated!
 


I'd be pulling the head unit out and taking a look at the wiring. Whoever installed the Eclipse unit may have hacked a wire and it could be loose/grounding out. If that doesn't work might be time to take a look at the speaker itself.
