Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (5-4-2012) PG 38 For Mock/Tease photo

Man. Props to you. Working hard and playing hard. It took about 30 minutes to read while thread again. Came together nicely

Thank you, Unlike 90% of the people on this site you can't afford this level of modification smoking weed and flipping burgers.

You gotta work for your toys. To have them of quality and envy.

I envision the first day i run this thing back down the track will be better then sex.

It's been a while huh? :th_biggrin2:

Once you get it up and running, it's not just the track where you'll enjoy it. Even just rolling onto the highway etc, the effortless way it'll get you up to speed will put a huge smile on your face all the time.

I doubt it, because Joey will probably be dead from old age by the time it's finished..

I kid. You need to finish the damn thing already, we're all waiting. (I fully understand the delays from deployment/engine shop)

Though, once it's done, you need to talk to your insurance, and have them cover all the goodies too.

Issue:
I'm missing my stock Fuel pressure regulator and am in need of another one.
Supercharger belt hitting coil pack bracket (Searching for longer bolts so i can put a few washers to raise it up a notch.

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (6-12-2012) PG 42 Fuel Rails/everything bolted up

you need a belt wrap, son.

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (6-12-2012) PG 42 Fuel Rails/everything bolted up

Here ya go
Belt Wrap Kit

There's others out there too.

Thanks.

Another issue i am having with raising the supercharger due to the intercooler is the Supercharger belt hitting the coilpack bracket.

Those three litte flat edge square screws if i can find them alittle longer i can ad a washer to fix the issue but i can't seem to find anything like that locally.

Ideas?

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (6-12-2012) PG 42 Fuel Rails/everything bolted up

people space them up with washers all the time.

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (6-12-2012) PG 42 Fuel Rails/everything bolted up

I found them to be too short. Others say they can space it.. I say Bonnevilles rule.

Marchi found some flat round headed bolts that were longer at a hardware store and all we did was cut them square and they fit the bill nicely. but it's a matter of looking at the hardware store and getting lucky.

Thats my mission for the morning.

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (6-12-2012) PG 42 Fuel Rails/everything bolted up

A bonneville tensioner/pack bracket or longer bolts?

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (6-12-2012) PG 42 Fuel Rails/everything bolted up

Ordered a new Fuel Pressure Regulator (old one is MIA most likely got taken with my old fuel rails.)

Got 6 feet of 3quarter heater hose and 2 3 quarter to 5/8 adapters for the Bonneville alt bracket.

Bunch of Hose clamps, and some gasket paper so i can make a N* TB gasket.

other then that all that is left is to bolt up the Throttle Body/Cold Air intake, Mount the FMHE and route those hoses. reconnect the battery and bam. car is on the road again.

sadly i won't be able to get to it till Tuesday morning/Afternoon.
