Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (4-24-12) PG 35 for Engine Photos!

It's a shame that those super awesome valve covers will be covered by the coil bracket...

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (4-24-12) PG 35 for Engine Photos!

Anyone care to explain how the Cam Crankshaft Sensor works with the Balance shaft deleted and with the XPZ Cam?

ZZP made 100 Sets of them. Then discontinued them. They retailed for about $2100 alone. and if i recall correctly the final set of them sold on Blackfriday 2011 for upwards of $4800 ish

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (4-24-12) PG 35 for Engine Photos!

yea i knew they were expensive, you have a rare set your lucky and you will have one fast GP!

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (4-24-12) PG 35 for Engine Photos!

Drive down, I got beer and a couch you can crash on.

That would be awesome, at the rate my coupes getting done I'll be drawing a pension by the time its done.... FML I could always drive the ugly 4 GT twin down but its piss slow.

Any track dyno sessions comming up?

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (4-24-12) PG 35 for Engine Photos!

We have a local drag stip that does a monthly street heat and there is a Dyno over here in Tampa that is quite nice

For those who missed the Mockup photo :)

Re: Spartan GL's Build Thread: (4-24-12) PG 35 for Engine Photos!

Stop mocking and start working.

My suggestion based on the mods I see.
Bolt on the water pump
Oil pressure adapter (spring into cup then spring into timing cover) then adapter.
Put an old filter on it for the install. You don't want to take the chance of dinging the end of the adapter.
Put in the oil level sensor
Put pigtail on the rear knock sensor
Put lim on and nothing else on the top
Slide rear header into tunnel before dropping motor/trans into place.
And if you haven't already..pressure wash your engine bay

Enjoy..it looks pretty.
