Ok I am getting ready to do my plugs and wires. I have been doing some reading on here and I thought I had made up my mind with the autolite xp606's. But Now i started reading about colder plugs. I don't have a pulley drop yet but plan one as soon as I get the supporting mods done. (don't want problems with KR). So My question is should I just put in the 606's right now or should I go with something colder right now.
 


In my mind, you shouldn't do colder plugs unless you need to. I think too often, it is on the list of mods when people are first modding as a need to do. It is not. If you are able to mod your car and not have knock, then there is no reason to run a colder plug. Your car will actually run better with a hotter plug.

Stick with the 606s until you need a colder plug.
 
Do NOT use colder plugs on a stock vehicle.
If you are planning to be done all of your supporting mods for a pulley drop in less than 15,000 miles, then get copper plugs instead of the expensive iridiums to save money. Otherwise, you're right on the money.
 
Until you drop a pulley...like said...there is no need for colder plugs. It'll hinder performance, MPG's, and your idle quality when they start to crap out quickly on you.

Ok well you are all saying exactly what I was thinking. Just wondering if I could save a step later by putting cold plugs in now. But I figured it would have an adverse reaction. Thus the question.
