spark plugs & gapping

what are the appropriate/correct/safe plugs & gapping for the following:

07 GP GT supercharged.
180 t-stat
headers
pully drop (3.6)
overkill pcm

apprciate any input from someone with a "simillar" setup.

I run 605's autolite copper cores on my headers/3.6/self tuned 2000 GTP.

I run a .055 gap, works fine. Just note that with copper core plugs they only last around 15k miles.

can i assume the .055 would be the same for any plug ???

i would want plugs that last longer

The car calls for a .060 gap stock, I'd rather go .055 because its a personal choice.

If you don't plan on modding further, I'd say if you went with the stock ac delco plugs it should be alrgiht.

The thing is, when you add more power to the car, there is a point where the factory spark plugs are too hot, its the reason why many of us will run a cooler plug.

it looks like al605's are a good fit...i'll try .055

Really the only reason to run a smaller gap is if your spark is blowing out. I actually had some knock after I gapped some plugs down a little, gapped them back to stock and the KR went away.

good to know...i'm just not sure if an open cone air intake, headers, and a 3.6 pully drop are "enough" to justify a colder plug or differant/smaller gapping...

Stay at the stock gap, you could run 605s instead of 606s to be a little safe, but I think you'll be fine on 606s
