Ok let hear what everyone has and what everyone prefers for their spark plugs and also let us know what kind of car they are in race or daily driver and so on .
 


I've used. TR6IX, TR55IX, AL103, AL104, AR103's. Daily driver.

While not much difference between them, my car seems to like the TR6IX a little better as far as smooth idle, mpg. I noticed no difference between any of them as far as KR.

i know they are talking about this in another post too but what about brisk ? also what about iridium and some of the quad point plugs ? goods/bads ? i was told autolites 1 degree colder than stock , gaped 55 that is what someone told me to use . daily driver now but soon light racing with more mods .

.055 is correct. The TR55IX and TR6IX that I mentioned are iridiums. On newer wbodys iridium is factory installed.

The one this I noticed when doing research on the Brisk is that the quad recommended for a stock GTP also has a foot note about potential blow out. Eventhough they recommend their iridium plugs for higher boosted application, it's not clear what configuration you get, Single, double or triple prong. I am interested in the soon coming review.

autolite 606 is stock, 605 is one step colder 104 is 2 steps colder and 103 is 3 steps colder than stock.

iridium is fine, platinum seems to be an issue. I run autolites never had a problem. I have seen many cars run the multi point plugs and foul them constantly (any quad 4 I ever saw them in they were fouled)
 
Norm would be a Autolite 104's

But am trying out the BRISK GOR15LGS
same heat range as the 104's and a very impressive plug.
I have used 104's, 103's TR6, TR5's
 
605 is stock, 104 is one step colder and 103 is 2 steps colder than stock.

Actually, I believe AL 606's are equivalent to the stock heat range. ;) But 605's are recommended because it can help reduce the factory GTP KR since they are one step colder. So 104's are two steps, 103's three steps, etc.

have iridiums in GT now...smooth idle.

I have had bosch platnium 4's in my old 95 SE....it hated them...burned out.
 


I emailed BRISK about what plug to use on a mildly modded 3.8l s/c V6 with about 11PSI, and got this response today:

Hi Lee,
the spark plug you need is Brisk Silver Racing G14YS. That is a spark plug specially designed for forced induction applications, nitrous or methanol injection.... and we have many vehicles with over 3500Hp running the Brisk Silver Racing plugs and setting world records. The LGS is excellent choice for N/A and stock boost forced induction applications. Your vehicle have powerfull ignition system and will handle the GOR14LGS plug at your boost level, but due to the higher boost and altered A/F ratio the lifespan of the plug will be relatively short.

EDIT: I noticed the plugs Brisk recommended are NOT resistor plugs. I've emailed back for verification. But on a car ran by computer electronics, this is probably not a good idea.

I'm using AL Platinum 104s gapped at .55 Cars likes 'em and I've never had a problem with them. I ran AL 605s in my old 97 GT.

Kind of on the same subject, if anyone here is using Taylor Wires, I would not recommend them. I found them to be the source for misfires and bad connections when I had them on my GT. also, the connectors liked to break when I changed plugs. :( I've heard the MSDs are a solid choice if anyone is looking for a solid set up.
 
I always questioned the 4's from a logical standpoint.

An arc goes to the path of least resistance so it will always go to one of the four points. Yea, if the good point becomes foul it has 3 others to choose from. Problem one doesn't become foul on its own. Therefore, I never bought them.

Mine are 103s. Daily driver. Had Bosch iridiums before when I was N/A. No issues with either.

I had 8mm MSDs on mine. I noticed a slightly better throttle response but that's it. I've heard they don't last long but I didn't experience any problems.

Everyone told me to only use stock when it comes to the GPs ignition i.e., wires, coils. No aftermarket compares to it.

I run 103's right now, but over the summer last year I ran TR8's since I was spraying so much. My car seemed to like them quite a bit. Definate decrease in KR, and I changed the plugs whenever I did an oil change to keep them fresh.
 
must have fat fingered that one.....
