spark plug reading

I changed my spark plugs last night, and noticed that one of them was not flat like the rest, but looked melted, or whatever you want to call it. I am just curious what people think of these plugs, and more specifically, what would cause that one to look deformed like it does.

how many miles on em? the color looks ok at least.

5000-10000 miles maybe

if up to 10,000 they are spent, they dont last much longer then that.

They don't look that bad. I cant tell from the pictures but the one that is slightly rounded may have a slightly off center electrode causing it to fire more on the side. Again I don't think they look bad at all. I run the Iridium XP 103 plugs and replace them every March. What was the gap of the plugs that you removed?

I'll have to go look at the gap again to see, but I think it was either .050 or .055. I can't remember exactly. I gapped the new set to .045 at the suggestion of overkill.

Looks like normal burn, but time for new ones, the 3.8 loves AL plugs, although they need change often.

I think I forgot to mention I put NGK TR6's in this time, just to try something different.

NGK are good, I always ran AL 106 in my 98.
