Spacers or wider tires?

So I am trying to figure out what I should do.

I currently have 245/45 tires on 18x8.5 rim with a 35mm offset I have been thinking I should try and run a 255/45 to try to get my tires more flush. Otherwise I was thinking of keeping my current size and putting 5mm wheel spacers or I could get the wider tires with the wheel spacers but I don't know if that will be to much. Just wondering what you guys would suggest or if anyone has done this.
 


you dont want bigger tires, you want a lower offset wheel. or spacers.

5mm isnt going to be worth doing though. just lower your car more.
 
255's do look good but might rub. id keep 245's and if anything, like bio said, lower it more.
