I've heard it referred to as "stealership" on here...lol. But busted hand.....whaddya gonna do? right...

Yup...it's just bad timing but I would hatetktake it toa dinky shop, I feel at least they will do a good job and they can garante it

they are also very nice and give me rides back to the house and pick me up when it's ready

35 percent front/back and rear in sig.

What is up with the driver molding. Is that the way you got it from ebay?

Yup... The seller wasn't sure what color it was, so I sent them the OEM colors and she said it was the lighter of the two gold/bronze colors. It's not that she was wrong, the car they came from was probably Rep sprayed with a slightly different gold than OEM. IRL it looks closer than it does in the images because it has a different metallicflake so it doesn't reflect. Back as much light as the other panels.

Im looking at it as an opportunity to learn how to repaint something.;)

lets hope its there for the recall. just got mine done.

Did the recall, but also had to do Some other work since my wrench arm is broken still for another 6 weeks, I don't trust any mechanic but I guess I trust a them more than bobs mechanic shop. In Miami all the shops are run by crooked ass peeps, I'm sure there are some good ones out there but how do you find one without getting lucky or going through a couple bad ones? Bur ya any work I can't do to my own car FML!!!

Also I think that different shade tints front and back aren't my thang, I do like your 35% front and rear though spazzzz looks clean, I had always seen it and thought it was no tint lol!

if you never had tinted windows, see if you like looking out 20% or darker. cause at night in the rain, oh boy, talk about blind on a left turn.

i also went with 35 up front and 20 for the rest, but only cause my state used to not allow tint at all on the front doors. now it seems they dont give a crap so i got new door tints that are all 20%, im yet to install them...soon tho. soon. only sitting here a year now i think in a tube.

I have 35% on my impala and definitely am glad I did not go darker. Rainy nights would be a nightmare.

Very pleased with the 35% though.

Oh man I feel you there scotty, I had a 98 Astro like ten years ago with 5% ("illegal" in Florida supposed to be 15%) in the back and 30% (Florida law is 28%) in the front.... That was horrible to back up or change lanes but back then I was 18 and didn't look to change lanes . I was really more concerned about the aesthetics of the whole thing, and a little privacy and protection from this damn sun this leather gets hot :th_radioactive:

Oh man ya I have no Idea what is happening there. It was like that when I got the car, it feels like plastic bubbling, and is really an eye sore. I was originally just thinking to sand and paint only that molding but now that I got that other mismatched one I get double the practice :th_thumb-up:. There is also a little chip in the rocker panel that had been patched with duct tape and even though I tried (with heat gun and all) it left some stuff and took some stuff when it came off... This too will be a small patch job, maybe big? I was thinking the less the better just a quick touchups that its not all white maybe do a little fiber glass patch to strengthen it, its a little wobbly now.

A little here a little there lol

Also the 35% but really look good all around and those wheels remind me of some beefy rally car I like them!!

My winter wheels, Mr. Miami.

MBs, they were inexpensive to hold my snow tires. They dont show dirt....the idea behind the color
The Subi guys wish they could get them but with the 5 x 100 no go.

LMFAO can you tell I have never gotten that close to snow?! lol But you are right they would kill on a subi kinda look like skinny rays

Wrist is still broken... So I decided to take on a simple task (lol) of swapping out the spark plugs for some new ones and upgraded the spark plug wires to 8mm MSD wires.

Man I have changed spark plugs on all my cars, this particular placement made it really challenging. The O2 sensor (?) right behind plug 6 sucks it was totally in the way.... But I do feel like the plugs and wires had never been changed before they where brittle and the plugs where super dark and even had some corrosion on the outside. Taking the covers bracket made it easier but still very little space, after struggling for almost 5 hours lol I was able to finish the job. I had done some research on youtube to see what some people did to change there spark plugs but didn't look to far since I figured it was super easy, later on I found some people remove the dog bones and tilt the engine forward this seems like it would have given me wayyyyy more room.

Anyone have experience tilting there motor forward to change them? What would I need to actually title it forward a bit for next time I need to get back there?

Also I did use the shields the stock cables had on them since they seems so close to the headers, I can see them getting real hot. I read a comment MSD recommended to keep them incase the cables melted?!

un bolt dog bones, then ratchet strap the engine to the rad support.

some like to un do the dog bones push the car forward and then hit the e brake, holds the engine pushed up.

^^^^ Ya, That. Hook one end to rad support, the other through hole in rear engine hoisting bracket ( I KNOW you saw that thing, you called it cover bracket) be careful to not crush anything where the ratchet strap goes over the engine (fuel rail, any brackets, linkage, hoses, etc...). I changed plugs and wires this spring, and needed that extra room for my big mitts...lol.....E.

I used a long needle nose and a ratchet. Grip the boot, use the ratchet to lever on. Pop right off. You might break the old wires, so..

Yes, re-use those heat shield things. Also, when I had my dogbones loose, the engine was very easy to move.

Ya I used a vice grip and a good friends strength lol!

Finally got her tinted, decided to go with SunTek Carbon CXP 35 (33%) all around with a strip of CXP18 (15%) across the top. From the inside during the day its perfect at night a little dark but nothing crazy. It feels wayyyyyyy better in the car while sitting in traffic in the sun, no more burning sensation on my skin from that Florida sun lol!
