• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Southeast WI 01 GT

Fair enough. I am definitely going to put in an oil pressure gauge, as loss of/not enough oil pressure seemed to be part of the reason for the failure of the previous engine. What other aftermarket gauges are recommended? Boost?.....

Thaaaat might have to wait. Dropping about $500 on an engine, potentially another $300-$500 on exhaust, I dont think a $250 aeroforce is in the budget. Ouch. Why do fun cars have to be so darn expensive?

**** a exhaust. Stock exhaust is fine.. Headers are all u need as for as exhaust is concerned. You better have something to monitor KR or roll the dice with the motor not grenading itselfI

Yeah, thats part of my "having trouble." Guess I'll just have to wait on those. Getting excited about having a SC car again. Had a 95 park ave ultra a couple years ago. Supercharged and it floated down the road...
Anyways, since I'm at a standstill w/ my engine, I just put a second coat of VHT nightshade on my tails. I think they'll look pretty slick w/ my window tint.

Looking at LED bulbs to backlight my tinted tail lights. Anyone use diode dynamics? Or is there something cheaper that is actually reliable?

Try fleabay, cheaper than DD. You will get hyper flash if you use them for a turn signal. Silver if you got a android get Torque and a bluetooth adapter. Post up a WTB for headers maybe someone has a set.

So, if I understand correctly, torque is a system that you plug into the obd II plug under the dash and it connect blue tooth to my droid phone and I can then monitor my cars system functions that way much in the same way an aeroforce would?

Yeah torque is an app, it works with a OBDII Bluetooth adapter and reads stuff an aeroforce does. It won't update as fast an an aeroforce but it still works good for the money which is under like 20 bucks for everything.

Cool, I have a windshield phone mount so I can have the app loaded and on display while I drive. Thanks for the tip Russosaur

another guy got a droid based HU and ran the torque app to the radio so it can viewed there. some how i bet the radio is faster then a phone.

i got the app too. it works fine. but when you want the fastest response for a gauge run it alone on a page, like for KR. the more gauges you have on the page the slower it works.

I'll run it on the phone or play around w/ the best app/setting until I can upgrade the stereo BC that is in the plans anyways.
Here is a preliminary pic of the VHT on the tails. Clearcoat I went w/ has more of a flat finish so we'll see how that holds up.

Bingo nice and smooth. Exactly how it should be. There's enough poorly tinted taillights out there don't be another one :)
